Good Morning New Year ("Keep the Faith") song - Words and Music by Peter Lewis

Good Morning New Year ("Keep the Faith") song - Words and Music by Peter Lewis

The music is the same as that for Good Morning Sunday ("Keep the Faith") - see Good Morning Sunday sheet music added to the Good Morning Sunday thread by Kevin in the Creative Section.

1. Good morning New Year - The old year's been and gone
Now wipe those bleary eyes - Because a new year has begun
Let's leave the past behind us - And raise our thankful prayers
The sun is risen, God's in his heavenn - We're glad that you are there
(Solo/Aled & Band)

2. Good morning New Year - “It’s” so “good to be here”
For those who're blessed with great success - Let's raise a hearty  cheer
But don’t forget the suff'rers - Through worry, loss or pain
We pray that they'll soon be OK - And back to health again
(SATB Choir/Aled in 4 part harmony & Organ)

3. Good morning New Year - We’re glad you came along
My thanks for being part of this - Great happy Aled throng
“Wherever you are coming from” - “Or” you are “going to”
Please “keep the faith” this New Year's day - And all the whole year through!
(Solo/Aled & Band)

Verse 1 at the start of the programme
Verse 2 in the middle
Verse 3 at the end of the programme
In thanks for all the Good Morning New Years's Aled has presented  and dedicated to him.
I'd love Aled to record it as the programme's theme tune.
There is also a "Good Morning Christmas" 5 note jingle - A (2 beats), F# E B  A
