It was a pleasure - I was very happy to help out. You have so many others tasks to do, I'm sure.
Aled has now been to Australia on four concert tours since 2003 and he's certainly covered a great many kilometres between cities in rapid succession on each tour, hence several of the cities noted in the pictures. Aled absolutely loves coming to Australia - and we love having him here! It would be fabulous for him though to have some extra time here to do some sightseeing. On his last tour - in Aug/Sept 2010, he had eight concerts in only ten days - quite a feat with the distances he had to travel - and no time to do anything other than perform. His itinerary of Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Newcastle (2.5 hrs north of Sydney), Ipswich (1 hr from Brisbane), Tweed Heads (2 hrs south of Brisbane) and then Sydney kept him extremely busy with all the travelling, as is illustrated in this comparison map.....

It would be wonderful too to see some more of the UK fans' pictures in the many places in the UK that Aled has toured in concert, or photos with him at Songs of Praise recordings or after his stage performances in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and White Christmas in the last few years. I wonder if anyone would have a personal photo with Aled from when he was in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat back in 1995?

Much as I would love to say that I have pictures of me with Aled, unfortunately, as yet I have not managed it! However yesterday I was sorting through some old VHS videos - we are hoping to move to Wales and need a big clear out - and who should pop up on the screen but little Aled on Top of the Pops dressed in a baggy blue jumper and jeans singing 'that song'. No way is that video headed for the tip!

i know my previous comment sounded a bit odd, but at the time the picture was taken, my feelings were all over the place, i didn't kno whether to laugh, cry or both.
