Aled seemed on great form for the Tuesday evening concert at the Derby Assembly Rooms. It was great hearing some of the tracks from "Forever" live. The backing trio were fabulous and by some wizardry Aled sang "a living prayer" accompanied by an absent Beth Nielsen Chapman - a magical performance! Aled spent some time after the show chatting to his fans which is so lovely and very rare in the world of celebrity.
What a wonderful evening my husband and I ,also Dail ( Tom's sister)and Barbara a friend who came from Newbury, enjoyed at Derby Assembly Hall, on Tuesday October 11th, what a pity that the show wasn't 100% supported.... Not only the singing from Aled, which was flawless, but a wonderful sense of humour.... we were riveted in our seats with his beautiful voice and choice of music, but also laughed so much when he did his :Ask Aled a Question; spots....On a more serious side , their was a lady who had come all the way from Bradford to the show, and she was crippled with arthritis , and on morphine for her pain, who said that the whole of the evening, she was unaware of her pain as she sat in her wheel chair, and was determined to see Aled at the end of the show when he was having pictures taken with every one who queued to have C.Ds and pictures signed, nothing was too much trouble for him....Great Night.....Thank you also to those who donated to Aled's charity, Hope House Hospice for Children, £170 was collected, and since then another £ 20 has been donated. Thanks also to the very kind Staff and Manager of the Assembly rooms....
